Building Maintenance Bylaw in Calgary

The Law

The City of Calgary’s Building Maintenance Bylaw will better protect the public by requiring the exterior of Calgary’s buildings to be visually assessed for necessary repairs every five years. It was approved by Calgary City Council on June 20, 2016, and came into effect on Jan 1, 2017.

Lynnwood's Role

A portion of the new building maintenance bylaw requires that the roof be inspected for debris, and that the cap flashing's be inspected to ensure they are properly secured. Our professionals can provide an inspection that will ensure that all aspects of the bylaw are met or exceeded so that you can rest easy.
